Your Healing Journey
Emerge is an energy, touch, movement, and ritual-based therapeutic practice, with the goal of supporting you on your path of healing and transformation.
Healing is a process of discovery, surrender, grief, shedding and rebirth. Like all things in nature, humans go through cycles of transformation and emergence. Emerging means something different at every stage of life and to everybody. I view this process as a type of birth, with stages of inception, gestation, transition, birth, and integration of these changes. Your soul knows how to transform. I'm here to support you in this process.

My working style
I work from a place of grounded awareness, care, and respect. I offer presence, deep listening, gentle holistic guidance and challenging of patterns in order to support embodiment, wholeness and empowerment. I am interested in shifting the healer-healed dynamic by highlighting our interconnectedness. I hold a professional role, but I am not the authority of your experience.
As with any relationship, you can decide if you can benefit from working with me. If you need a different kind of support, I can refer you to someone who will better serve your needs.

Education & INterests
I received my Masters in Holistic Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University in 2008 and Reiki attunements in 2008 and 2009. I've trained as a birth doula with Doulas of North America (DONA) and have attended births in both hospitals and home settings. I facilitate women's circles, birth circles, blessingways, meditation groups and grief rituals. I teach contact improvisation dance classes and bring awareness of body-based wisdom to my work with clients. I enjoy clowning, ecstatic dance, cooking, medicine making, and playing with children of all ages.
My mission is to be in service to healing the collective body, mind, and spirit. I am interested in the way oppressive cultural and global systems live in the psyche and how to create a different reality. I'm committed to working consciously with power and privilege. I do my work to unpack the internalized effects of white supremacy, patriarchy, and sexual and racial oppression.
I especially curious about times of transition and development, which can be experienced as cycles of shedding and rebirth, and how to best support this process. I strive to support clients emotionally, physically and energetically through these rites of passage.
I feel an urgency about bring healing to the collective as we face many humanitarian and environmental challenges. I see the need for fierce and loving people to come into their power as well as humility. In my experience, turning toward both pain and ecstacy leads to healing, truth, greater compassion and intimacy with life and the divine. But not without support! Helpful guides and teachers seen and unseen are needed at all stages.
